DEAD BALLOONISTS
PROBABLY ASPHYXIATED . FAILURE OF APPARATUS. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) MOSCOW, May 19. (Received May 20, at 8 p.m.) It has been revealed that the two baUoonists Schrenck and Masuck, who were killed, must have been asphyxiated through failure of the oxygen apparatus two hours after the start of the flight. The balloon, drifted with the dead men for 24 hours across Europe. When it was low Schrenck's body fell out of the gondola and was dragged across the country for miles until it became entangled in the wood in which Masuck's body was found.
