AUSTRALIAN PROBLEMS SOLVED BRIGHT OUTLOOK OF PEOPLE. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 10. The opinion that the people of Australia appeared to have forgotten the word " depression " was expressed by hir Harold Beauchamp, chairman of directors of the Bank of New Zealand, on his return from a visit to Australia. He said that the Australians did not seem to be worrying about the future. The great increase in the price of wool had had a most beneficial effect. It had recently been stated that the export value of this year's wool clip of Australia would be about £55,000,000. In the world to-day there were roughly 780,000,000 sheep, of which Australia had 112,000,000. "On more than one occasion, said Sir Harold, "I have pointed out that the increase in flocks is not in the same ratio as the increase in population. It therefore seems to me that it is only a question of time when the demand for wool will be greater than the supply.
