HIGHLAND BALL AT MOSGIEL

. The Coronation Hall at Mosgiel presented an attractive sight last evening, when the Highland ball was in progress. The ball was organised under the auspices of. the Taieri Highland Pipe Band, whose pfficerbearers controlled the evening's activities. A feature of the evening was the grand march; directed; by Drummajor L. Lloyd and led by the Highland Pipe Band in costume, the various movements being executed with almost military precision. Piper Cairnside and Sergeant Renton played the music for the march, and the band committee, with Mr Taylor (president) at its head, marched between the band and the dancers. -The M.C.'s were Sergeant Renton, Pipers Blackie and Thompson, and Mr J. Craig. The Tom Katz Band supplied the music for the dancing. '?i ':,'-. ' ■
