General Johnson, chief, administrator of the N.R.A., invaded the annual convention of the American Society of Newspaper Editors in Washington to reprimand the press for publishing the charge that the N.R.A. had imposed a press censorship of any kind. " Why, I could not have lasted one month, if I had been as incompetent as some newspapers allege, or if I were the blustering jackass displayed in some cartoons," shouted General Johnson.
