SAMUEL INSULL

RETURN TO AMERICA FIGHTING FOR VINDICATION. PRINCETON (New Jersey), May 7./ Landing at Fort Hancock early on Monday from the steamship Kxilona Samuel Insull was immediately placed on board a train bound for Chicago. Insull made a statement in connection with his Utilities Companies and the charges against him, declaring: "I'm back in America to make the most important fight in. my life, not only for freedom, but for complete vindication. I have erred, but my greatest error was in underestimating the effects of the financial panic on American securities, and particularly on the companies that I was trying to build." Insull last month tried to seek refuge in Turkey. He was arrested'in Constantinople on the request of the American Government. He appealed to, the Turkish courts against his extradition, but his appeal was refused. He was placed on board a steamsjjip at Smyrna, which was on the eve of sailing for America.
