SMALL VESSELS BUFFETED (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 7. (Received May 8, at 515 p.m.) During a storm over the weekend a heavy .gust of wind travelling at 87 miles an hour was registered at Valencia, Ireland, and winds of gale force were general throughout the British Isles. During the. height of the storm yesterday it.was found necessary to pour oil on the broken waters of Bridlington Harbour to enablo motor fishing. boats caught by heavy seas to make harbour. 6afely. Several small vessels were in difficulties around the British coasts.
