The fortnightly meeting of Court Little John;waa presided over by the C.R., Sis. Adcock. There was a . large attendance of members. Invitations to visit Courts Marion, St.-Andrew, and Pride of the Leith were accepted. P.CR.'s Bros. A. •h'd W. Reynolds were appointed to arrange for a team for the 500 competition at Court St Andrews. Amongst those g resent was P.C.R. Bro. G. L. erivener, who is .now a resident of Mastierton, and although retaining* his' membership of Court Little -JohnMs.secretary of Court Loyal Enterprise (Masterton).. C.R. Sis. Adcock, in extending a hearty welcome to the brother, congratulated'him upon continuing to take an active part m the Order. They were till pleased to have him with them, and ■he asked him to convey fraternal greetings to the courts in the nor.th. P.C.R. Bro. Scriviner. expressed thanks for the rousing welcome they had given him. The instructions he had received in the years gone by, he said, had been of great assistance to him in carrying out is duties in the north. He referred in high terms to the way in which the C.R- had conducted the business and also the way in which the initiation ceremony had been conducted. It had been an education to him. P.C.R. Bro. Walton, in responding on behalf of Court King Edward's. Pride, expressed his regret at the absence of the court treasurer, Bro. Reynolds, on account of sickness, and said he trusted that the brother would soon be restored to health again and able to continue his good work for the court and Order. He also commended'the officers upon the way in which they had carried out their duties. Arrangements were Made to entertain the Juvenile Court at the next meeting. After the court closed the brothers were entertained at a'set •upper by the sisters. The C.R.. in extending a welcome to all, expressed her pleasure at seeing so mapy present. S.G.R. Bro. Christie, on responding on behalf of the brothers, spoke of the splendid hospitality always shown by the •jsters, who, it was pleasing to note, were of -great assistance not only in social Blatters* but also in the working of the court P.C.R. Bros. H. L. Thomson and Gibson also thanked the sisters, for the fine way they had been entertained and referred to the high standard of efficiency ■hown by them in the work of the court. A very enjoyable evening -wag brought to • close by the singing of " Auld Lang Syne."
