The weather was again unsettled and wintry in Dunedin yesterday. Heavy rain- fell during the early hours of the morning, but there was an improvement after mid-day, and practically no furthor rain fell. More than 3£ inches of rain have fallen during the past five days. The maximum temperature yesterday was 40 degrees and the minimum 39 degrees. A moderate south-west wind was blowing.
