MEN’S EXECUTIVE The Executive Committee of the Otago Hockey Association met in the Y.M.C.A. last evening. There were present Messrs H. F. Payton (in the chair), E. P. Allen, D. A. Ballantyne, K. Brown, E. Gallon, O. Dey, W. M'Queen, R. Pickup, R. Twose, W. Warrington, E. Densem, and.H. Sew Hoy (Secretary). Mr Goodman wrote stating that at the general meeting of the _ New Zealand Hockey Association a motion revising the rules governing the Hatch Cup was lost. A letter from Mr Lewin was received intimating that ground rents had been Increased from £5 to £7 10s. , Mr Todd’s application to act as a referee was referred to the Referees’ Association, The Albany 'Club was granted permission to travel - to Oamaru on May 12. An application from the EasternNorthern -Club to travel to Duntdin on June 4 was referred to the Technical Club. . , v, , A letter was received from, the Primary Schools’ Hockey Association intimating that 10 teams would be playing this year, and asking for three coaches, four referees, five grounds, and 40 new sticks. The Grounds Committee reported that the ground at Logan Park would not be required during the coming season. It had been found necessary to postpone .all matches on Saturday last. It was recommended that the postponed matches should be played at the end of the round. After a good deal of discussion, Mr Allen’s motion that the postponed matches should be played on May 19 to suit the interunivevsity tournament was lost by four votes to five. It was decided to play the postponed matches, Albany v. University A, and H. 5.0.8. v. University B, on June 2, The matter of dues payable by clubs was deferred till the nest meeting. Mr Sew Hoy reported that South Island caps for Messrs Belfield and Rennick had been ordered. • DRAW FOR SATURDAY.
