GOOD TEMPLARY

The Hope, .of Dunedia' Lodge held its weekly meeting in the Radiant Health Hall, St. Andrew street, Sister Beath, C.T., presiding; over :a fair attendance 01 officers and members. Visitors from the Hope of Cavershain, Stair of Freedom, and Rescue Lodges Were present. The installation, of the vice-templar,'and secretary was'' carried o»t : by Br.o. Dalton, special deputy grand .-chief templar. An excellent report on the progress of the Silver Star Juvenile Temple, No. ,9, was rendered, visitors to the temple congratulating the S.J.W. on the behaviour of the juveniles and the manner, in which the temple officers carried out their parts. Greetings from, the visitors to-the lodge Were received and reciprocated. The programme for the evening was " Scottish Night," and the following items were rendered: —Songs—Sister Leishman, Bros. Hilton and Dalton, Sisters Page and Miller; recitations, Sisters Beath and Leckie; Scotch readings, Sister Beathi duet, Sisters Beath and Steedman.

There was a large attendance of officers and members at' the last meeting of tha Silver Star Juvenile Temple, 1.0.G.T. Sister Susie Donaldson, C.T., presiding, with the A.S.J.W. in charge, and Siaterai Strode and C. South were in attendance. Sister\Strode (at the piano) taught the children some new odes. There was also present a number of adults of the adults* lodge and visitors. Bro. Hilton, D.S.J.W., was welcomed, and spoke to the children, and Sister Giles, D.C.T., also gave a short address.

The weekly meeting of the Rescua Lodge, No. 105, of the International Order of Good Templars was held on Tuesday. Sister A. Steedman (chief templar) presided, there being a good attendance of members and visitors. Full reports wera submitted by the superintendents of the juvenile temples and by. the representatives to the annual meeting of T)unedin District Lodge. Greetings were received from Bro. and Sister Hodgkinson (of Auckland) and Sister Mrs Devereaux (D.C.T., Wellington). Interesting instructions in connection, with the cere* monial work of the Order were given by the P.C.T., and were listened to with much interest by those present. Bro, T, H. Dalton was appointed the lodge's prosentative to the Grand Lodge session to be held in Wellington at. Easter.-After lodge business had been disposed of, a sale of goods was held, which resulted in a good amount being paid into the lodge funds.
