CRICKET TOURS
TEAMS FROM OVERSEAS WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION'S SUGGESTION. (Peb United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, March B.
The advisability of endeavouring to arrange tours by overseas teams well before they are due to take place was stressed at a meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association, which decided to ask the New Zealand Cricket Council to make an effort to secure a visit to the Dominion next season, or, failing that, to give the Wellington Association permission to act in that direction. The chairman (Mr P. B. Broad) said it was recognised that the council was trying to get an M.C.C. team next year, but if that tour' did not eventuate the possibility of securiug a team from India should be considered.
