In 1932 corrections made and inserted by hand numbered 269,000. The department produced 338,476 charts for naval ami Government use, and over 200,000 for sale. The net receipts were ■: £34,446. In th« foreign service,section surveys were mads off Labrador, Palestine, Ushant; -and Malacca, and in the Persian Gulf and Atlantic. During the same year 325 new. rocks and other dangers were noted.
