(Received 'Jan. 17, at" 6.5 p.m.) ■ Clyde .-Barrow, one of the South West’s most notorious desperadoes, successfully engineered the escape of five associates who were serving long terms in the State Prison Farm here. The convicts were working in a field, when Barrow, from an automobile, attacked the guards with a machine gun, seriously injuring two, while the prisoners reached the- automobile and escaped. : The officials believe that Barrow was aided by Bonnie Parker, who is ;described as a “cigar smoking” two- | gun woman. She has participated in many shooting affairs With Barrow.
