The following are the results of the Civil Service. Harrier and Amateur Athletic Club’s championships, which were held , at theCaledonian Ground on Tuesday eveningly- ; : ■ ■’ , 220 Yards Championship.—First heat: Thomson 1, Bolting 2, Watt 3. Time,-24! 2-ssec. Second heat: Smith 1, Gerken 2,'.Ha1l 3. / Time, 24 l-ssec. Final: A. B. Thomson 1, E. L. Betting 2, F. G. Smith 3. Time, 23 4-ssee. Thomson led into the straight from a well-bunched field and, finishing strongly, won by several yards from Bolting, who challenged desperately./ -. 220 Yards Junior Championship.—A. J. , One Milo Senior Championship.—L, C. M'LachJan 1, <J. G. Barnes 2, A. R. Geddes 3. Time, 4mih 40sec. S. Asher set a fast clip over the first half-mile, ■which was done in 2min 16sec. Barnes then took charge and led from M'Lachlan and Geddes. Entering the straight M'Lachlan challenged, and in a fine finish won by five yards. Geddes was five yards further back. One Mile Junior Championship.—A. Kirkwood 1, W, Msckinnon 2. Time, 4min:iS3 2-fjsec —a club record. Three starters. Kirkwood, making his own pace throughout, won easily in good time.' 440 Yards- Hurdles Championship.—J, Gerken 1, J. G. Barnes ?, L. C. M'Lachlan 3, Time, 63 2-ssec. A. Chisholm led in the early stages, but Barnes and Gerken took command down the back. Gerken coming away from the 220-yard mark finished well to win by eight yards from Barnes, who came up well at the finish. M'Lachlan was 15 yards back third. - Discus Throw.-—A. J. Leeden, 84ft, 1; J. Anderson, 81ft 3in, 2; J. Taylor, 81ft 2Jin, 3. T-V> " : ■ Hammer Throw.—Anderson, 71 it 10in,.1; A. J. Leeden," 61ft Sin, 2; P. G. Spence, 58ft, 3- A club record. ’ CAVERSHAM CLUB. The Caversham Harrier and Aniateur Athletic Club held its first championship meeting of the season at the Caledonian Ground On Tuesday evening. Good fields contested the various events, and some excellent finishes were witnessed. In the Half Mile Donovan went to the front in the first lap and increased his lead in the second lap to stave off a strong challenge by, Morris by two yards. A close the 1.00 Yards between Smith and Miller resulted in a win for the former by inches. The following are the results.— 100 Yards.—First heat: W. Smith 1, J. Ramsay 2, K. Donovan 3. Time, llaec. Second heat: K. Miller. I,' S. Bain 2,_S. Fuller 3. Time, 11 2-ssec. Final: Smith 1, Miller 2, Ramsay 3. Time, lleec. 880 Yards.—K. Donovan I,'J.
