KUROW DISTRICT NOTES
(From Odb Own Correspondent.) KUROW, November 17. SCOTTISH SOCIETY. The Waitaki Hydro Scottish Society held its monthly dance in the Y.M.C.A. Hall on Thursday evening, a large crowd being present. Mr P. S. Geddes carried out the duties of M.C., excellent dance music being supplied by Miss S. Munro’s orchestra. During the evening the following novelties were presented:—Maxina, Miss M. Hepburn and Mr H. F. Berry; Destiny ■waltz, Miss B. Herron and Mr S. Marr; Valetta, Mrs P. S. Geddes and Mr C. J. Burns. CRICKET. The following will represent the Waitaki Hydro Cricket Club in a match against Otekaieke on Saturday:—Kenny, Kerr, Reason, Southern, Murrow, Harman, Milne, Mayston, Pearson, S. Howie, Donovan, Lox, Kirk. # PERSONAL.
Mr C. B. Wright, Waitaki Hydro, left yesterday to take up a position with the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, Christchurch.
