(Per United Press Association.) GISBORNE, November 17. The first naval visit to Gisborne for some years is being paid by H.M.S. Laburnum, which arrived this morning. Official courtesies were exchanged and a round of entertainments has been prepared for the officers and crew. NELSON, November 17. The Nelson Education Board has given instructions to teachers that it will not sanction them acting as deputy-returning officers or poll clerks at the Buffer bydoction. The chief electoral officer today made further representations to the board, which decided unanimously to adhere to its decision in view of the fact that there are over 1000 unemployed in the Buffer County, many of whom are well qualified to act.
