THE UNRULY TRIBES A SETTLEMENT REACHED. CALCUTTA, September 21. (Received Sept. 22, at 0.30 a.m.) A settlement with unruly frontier tribes was reached at Mohmand. At a jirga attended by high British officials the tribesmen swore on the holy Koran to be of good behaviour and leave the Halimzai tribe unmolested, and in return the British Indian troops will be withdrawn, leaving the new road available to all.
