THEFT AND RECEIVING
FIVE YOUNG MEN CHARGED
PLEAS OF GUILTY ENTERED,
(Pee Lotted Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 20. Stealing goods from employers and allegedly exchanging them for others stolen by the employees of other firms was the cause of the appearance of several young men appearing before the court to-day. They pleaded guilty before Mr E. Page. S.M., to charges of theft and receiving. The value of the goods taken was stated to run into hundreds of pounds. The accused were James Kerr Stewart, aged 21; Robert Edison Rooderkerk, aged 23; Neil Simpson, aged 18; Sidney Ellis Lowe, aged 18; and Noel Winston Cook, aged 17.
Mr Page postponed dealing with the accused, saying he would consider his decision.
The goods are mostly radio accessories, and firms concerned are the Electric Lamp House, Stewart Hardware Company, and Healing and Co. Dairy.
