The registrations at the Milton Post Office during the past month, with figures for the corresponding month last year in parentheses, were:—Births 6 (6), Marriages nil (3), deaths 3 (2). GOLF. Wilson, Mrs A. F. \\ ethey v. Miss M'Laren, Mrs Kerse a bye. SOUTH OTAGO HOCKEY TOURNAMENT. A total entry of 32 teams—eigiit in the A Grade and 24 in the B Grade—has bean received for the South Otago Ladies Hockey Association's seven-a-side tournament at Milton on Saturday afternoon. Practically every affiliated club in Sont.i Otago has nominated at least one team, and Taieri teams are also well represented. The entries from Dunedin teams are, however, not up to the numerical strength of former tournaments, only Universitv, Momona, Dunedin, and Otago having entered. Five playing areas on the Bruce Club's ground and local. sports ground will be utilised. The trophies —the Farrell and Lothian Cups—and individual trophies will be rns-nted at a social function in the evening.
