RIO GRANDE VALLEY
SWEPT BY A HURRICANE TWELVE DEATHS REPORTED. EDINBURGH (Texas), September 5. (Received Sept. 6, at 10 p.m.) It is known that 12 people are dead and upwards of 50 injured, while many million dollars’ worth of damage was caused by a Gulf hurricane to-day, which laid waste the rich and populous Rio Grande Valley.
