THEFT OF MONEY

STOLEN FROM REGISTERED LETTER (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September C. John Robert M'Kay, aged 21 years, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment for the theft of £2 and for failing to comply with the terms of his release on probation. The accused obtained possession of a registered letter containing the money. He.was remanded on a further charge of forging and uttering a cheque for £4 10s at Ashburton.
