COMMON GAMING HOUSE
CHINESE HEAVILY PINED. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 5. A Chinese named Wong Hum, aged 45, charged with using his premises as a common gaming house, was fined £7O in the Police Court to-day. Pak-a-poo was the game played and the magistrate eaid he was .afraid the Chinese regarded the fines as license fees. The accused seemed to have made substantial contributions to the Consolidated Fund at different times.
