“BRIMSTONE AND TREACLE”

The final presentation of the variety programme, “ Brimstone and Treacle,” was given in His Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday evening. Members of 'the Dunedin Repertory Society assisted by presenting a one-act play, “On Dartmoor,” which was admirably produced by Miss Bessie Thomson, and there was an excellent selection of vocal, instrumental, and humorous items, as well as several very attractive solo and ballet dancing acts. The production was staged for the purpose of raising money for the Mayor’s Unemployment Relief Fund.
