FATAL COBRA BITE
FAILURE OF ANTIDOTE USELESS HERBAL CURE. CALCUTTA. July 21T Implicit faith loci to the death of two men and the serious illness of another in Calcutta to-day. The - three were listening; to a snakecharmer extolling the virtues of his herbal snake-bite antidote, and volunteered for a test to prove its efficacy. The cobra being used by the snakecharmer bit them, but the herbal cure failed to act. The snake-charmer has been arrested.
