THE MAIL TRAIN ACCIDENT. EMPLOYEES DISRATED. SYDNEY, August 3. Three railway employees were disrated as a result of the derailment of a mail train, near Lithgow, following the commissioner’s inquiry into the accident. Since the Bowning accident there have been a number of small mishaps, and some Sydney papers are urging an inquiry into the conditions of the railways. UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF. NEW SOUTH WALES SCHEME. SYDNEY, August 3. Cabinet has decided to continue to provide work for the “ dole ” scheme for a further 12 months. The scheme, which was originally introduced for three months, has been a success. Cabinet proposed to make sufficient funds available to give 40,000 men work.
