INDUSTRIAL RECOVERY
THE AMERICAN PROGRAMME SUPPORTED BY BANKS. WASHINGTON, August 2. Fourteen hundred banks affiliated with the American Bankers’ Association today joined the industrial recovery movement under a modified Presidential agreement. The administrate” (Mr Hugh Johnson) declared in force for these banks and an additional GOOD not belonging to the association a temporary code under which their employees will receive a minimum wage of 12 dollars per week in towns of less than 2500 population to 15 dollars per week in cities of more than 500,000 for a 40-hour week.
