BRITISH BY-ELECTION
MR HENDERSON’S CANDIDATURE LONDON, August 3. (Received August 3, at 8.30 p.m.) Mr Arthur Henderson, who is touring Claycross Division (Derby) in connection with the by-election, denied that his candidature interfered with the work of the Disarmament Conference. On the contrary, it would increase bis influence and a thumping majority would show the peoples of other nations that he had been given increased power by the people of his own country.
