SIR, —It was no doubt a surprise to many to rend in your women’s column that most of those present at the Old Time Dance were there by invitation issued chiefly to those who appear iu Station 4YA programmes. It would be interesting to know why invitations were confined to a select few, many of whom probably had made fewer appearances before the microphone than numbers of those passed over. Perhaps they were the same artists who also appeared at the “ Celebrity Concert.” —I nm, etc., Old Listener-in.
