DESTROYED BY FIRE
BIG FRENCH WAREHOUSE (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) PARIS, August 1. The Cotonncrie De Fives at Lille, the largest warehouse in Europe, was destroyed by fire due to spontaneous combustion. Thirty-three thousand bales of cotton were burned. The damage is estimated at £400,000, and 5000 workers are thrown out of employment.
