ELECTION OF OFFICERS (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 2. The annual ballot In connection with the election of officers of the Seamen’s Union resulted as follows: — Wellington.—President, Mr Walsh : vice-presidents, Messrs Godfrey and M'Natty; treasurer, Mr Boyce; secretary, Mr Newfield; assistant secretary, Mr Martin; executive councillors — Messrs Miller, Walsh and Murphy. Auckland.—President, Mr M’Lonnan; vice-president, Mr Trainer; secretary, Mr Anderson; assistant secretary, Mr Williams ; executive councillors —Messrs Anderson, Gibson and M’Lonnan. Dunedin.—President, Mr Todd ; vicepresidents, Messrs Barnes and Byers; treasurer, Mr Cheshire; executive councillors —Messrs Martin, Clarke and Clark. Lyttelton.—Agent, Mr Martin. The voting on the question of relieving for annual holidays was 646 against and 619 for.
