MASTERTON, August 2

The derailment of an empty wagon on a goods train proceeding up the Rimutaka incline between Cross Creek and the Summit occurred about 7 o’clock this evening. No damage was done, but the work of replacing the truck on the line proved rather difficult, and as a result the Masterton mail train was delayed for two hours.
