J. E. Jackson won the weekly button off the rifle. In the shoot off for the handicap button L. Worthington was the winner. In the weekly team shoot competition last week’s winners, consisting of J. K. Jackson, R. Greer, F. Todd, and T. M'Kinnon, obtained the lead. A keenly-contested postal match was shot off against • the Railway Club of Oamaru, which resulted in a win for Kurow by 12. MEETING AT HYDRO. A special general meeting of the Waitaki Hydro branch of the New Zealand Labour Party was held on Tuesday evening, the president (Mr A. Dobson) occupying the chair. The following Social Committee was elected:—Messrs W. Wild (convener), J, Jamieson, Buckley, J. Person, M‘Nee, and Turnbull, and Mrs J. Nash. Dr D. G. M’Millan delivered an interesting lecture, at the conclusion of which he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks, coupled with a vote of confidence in the Labour Party.
