THE WEATHER
Fine weather, with sunshine and passing cloud, prevailed in Dunedin yesterday. A light northerly wind was blowing, and the conditions were warm and pleasant. The maximum temperature was 56 degrees. The barometer, after falling to 20.44, remained steady all day. REPORTS FROM NORTHERN CENTRES. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, July 31. • There was a continuation of the bois* terous northerly weather to-day which, was very wet, heavy rain being experienced all day. The barometer has fallen to 20.85 in. WELLINGTON, July 31. The weather was agaia unsettled today, light rain falling at frequent intervals. The wind was from the north and the temperatures were mild. CHRISTCHURCH, July 31. The weather was fine and mild with a maximum temperature of 65 degrees and light N.N.E. breeze. The barometer was steady at about 29.57.
