Mr Arthur Henderson's return to Parliament is practically assured through the Clay Cross Labour Party selecting him to contest the vacancy caused by Mr C. Duncan's death. Mr Henderson states that he does not intend to resign from the chairmanship of the Disarmament Conference. Mr Arthur Henderson, who was Foreign Secretary in the Labour Government, lost his seat in the General Election in 1031. Since then he has devoted his efforts to the work of the Disarmament Conference.
