INDIAN FRONTIER

THE NORTH-WEST SECTION DISTURBED SITUATION. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 29. Owing to the disturbed situation on the North-west Frontier of India, a column of 4000 troops is expected to leave Peshawar to-morrow and proceed along the Gandao valley to support the chief of the loyal Halirnzais tribes against possible further incursion into their territory by the turbulent Upper Mohmands. A cavalry regiment and a section of armoured cars will stand by the Peshawar road. The Government meanwhile is awaiting the surrender of the agitators who are attempting to disturb the border peace and are sheltered by the Bajaur tribe, further north. Further measures may be necessary to enforce compliance with the Government's demand for the surrender of these agitators. BOMBING PLANES READY. CALCUTTA, July 31, (Received August 1, at 1.15 a.m.) Four squadrons of the Air Force are in readiness to begin bombing operations at dawn to-morrow in the Bajaur territory, the ruler of which', Khan of Khar, refused to hand over three agitators who are known to be sheltering there.
