UNEMPLOYMENT IN MOSGIEL
TO THE EDITOR. Sib, —In this morning’s issue of your paper “ Unemployed ’’ writes under the above heading, asking how a man can balance the budget on relief wages in the Mosgfel district. I would refer him to some of his unemployed fellow-workers, many of whom appear to have a credit balance large to allow them to obtain liquor and visit dance halls. One man with two children also makes enough from relief wages to enable.him to register and run a motor car.—l am, etc., 1/- IN THE t. Mosgiel, June 28. > .
