(Received June 28, at 9 p.m.) An announcement dissolving the Nationalists, signed by Herr Hitler and three of the Nationalists' leaders, but not by Dr Hugenberg, assures Nationalists protection from discrimination and insult. Nationalists who are at present in prison will be released. It is officially announced that those who have joined the Nazis since January 30 will be given two years' trial to prove their loyalty, after which they will be enrolled in the party, if satisfactory. Meanwhile they are liable to punishment if they wear a brown shirt. A Linz message says that Herr Hitler dismissed Herr Proksch, leader of the Austrian Nazis,'because he left Austria without Berlin's permission and ordered leaflets to be dropped on Linz from an aeroplane. (Received June 28, at 10 p.m.) Dr Hugenberg's National Party was dissolved by " an amicable agreement between Herr Hitler and the Nationalist leaders," by which the Nationalist deputies will join Nazi parliamentary groups. Dr Hugenberg was opposed to the dissolution agreement, but was outvoted. He declined to sign his party's death warrant and stated that he intends to retire from politics. He is Germany's biggest newspaper owner, but owing to the strict Nazi censorship is unable to put his own viewpoint before the public.
