ECONOMIC FEDERATION
A FAR-REACHING PROPOSAL LONDON, June 24. The Guardian says that negotiations have been begun in London for the formation of an Economic Federation, including Austria, Hungary, the Little Entente, Bulgaria, and perhaps Poland. The proposal is a counter move to Mussolini’s scheme of an Austro-German union under the Hapsburgs, which M. Daladicr (Prime Minister of France) practically killed. The federation will probably take the form of a Customs union or a low tariff agreement, and possibly include a currency agreement.
