ANNANDALE BY-ELECTION. SYDNEY, June 24. (Received June 25, at 6.30 p.m. In the Annandale by-election, due to the death of Mr Stuart Robertson, the Lang Labourite, there were four candidates, none of whom was supporting the Government. R. D. Gorman (Langite) secured 9348 votes, and is elected. P. M'Donald (Federal Labourite) secured 3815 votes, H. Cotter (Independent) 540, and T. Wright (Communist) 459. —• WORLD SCOUT JAMBOREE. SYDNEY, June 24. (Received June 25, at 6.30 p.m.) The liner Otranto sailed to-day with a party of Boy Scouts, including a New Zealander, for the world Scout jamboree in Hungary in August. The Australian contingent numbers 84. They were given a farewell by the Governor.
