Bobby Peel, the famous old Yorkshire and England cricketer, whose name will be familiar to cricketers a generation ago, was aged 76 recently. Peel played in many test matches in Australia at the end of last century. He played his first game 60 years ago and played last season. Twelve months ago Peel declared that Verity and Bowes, the Yorkshire bowlers, would step into prominence. Interviewed at his home at Morley, Peel expressed pride at the feats of his fellow Yorkshiremen.
