Improvements still continue to be math on the main Port Chalmers-Dnnedin roadway both in widening and giving atten tion to the surface. , The local tannery is experiencing a busy period iu meeting the demands for its output. The Sawyers’ Bay School boys met (he North-East Valley School Grade A Rugby football team on the Port Chalmers Recreation Ground on Saturday forenoon. In an interesting game the visitors proved superior, winning by two unconverted tries to nil.
