BRITISH AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP LONDON, June 22. In the fifth round of thg British Amateur Golf Championship Tweddell defeated Wethered at the nineteenth; Dunlop defeated W. Hartley, 5 and 4; Somerville defeated Kyle, 3 and 2. In .the sixth round Michael Scott defeated Tweddell, 1 up; Dunlop defeated Somerville, 2 and 1: Tolley defeated Giles, 3 and 1. TOLLEY’S DEFEAT OF FOGG. LONDON, Juno 22. . The biggest thrill of to-day’s golf was Tolley’s defeat of Fogg, the young Hoyiake player, in the fifth round. The match was followed by a large gallery. Tolley seemed to be defeated when he was three down at the tenth. Dunlop clinched the match by lofting over a stymie and following with an eagle. Dunlop, playing against Hartley, was uncanny in approaejhing and putting. He holed the last eight in 2(5, one better than Compston’s strokes when the latter made a record for the course.
