DROUGHT ENDED
RAIN over wide area AUSTRALIAN PASTURES BENEFITED. SYDNEY, Juno 23. (Received June 23, at 10 p.m.) Beneficial rain has fallen, or is falling, throughout New South Wales, particularly 0 in the wheat belt and grazing areas. Some southern and western areas have already had half an inch, which will allay anxiety and assure winter feed for livestock. Parts of the south coast were drenched, and the danger of floods is imminent. Opportune rain is also reported from Queensland, affording immediate relief to the drought-stricken grazing areas. The southern and south-western sections of that State have greatly benefited.
