AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP LONDON, June 21. Somervlle, Dunlop, Tolley, and Wethered all won their fourth round in the Amateur Golf Championship. The biggest surprise was M'Lean’s defeat by his veteran compatriot, Edward Kyle, who will meet Somerville in the fifth round to-morrow. The others who were defeated were Torrance and Stout (thq former English champion), j STATE CHAMPIONSHIP { SEMI-FINALS DECIDED. SYDNEY, June 22. (Received June 22, at 9.45 p.m.) In the semi-finals of the New South Wales Amateur Golf Championship (36 holes), Allan Waterson, the youthful player, defeated Harrison on the thirtysixth green after an intense struggle in which at one stage Harrison was two down with three to play. Hattersley defeated Fawcett,. 3 and 2. Fawcett made a gallant recovery to reduce his morning deficit of 4 down, but was unable to shake his younger opponent’s grip of the match. Waterson and Hattersley will play off on Saturday.
