On Tuesday evening the members of the St, Hilda's Old Girls’ Association met in the Somerset Lounge of the Savoy where, owing to the absence of the president (Mrs Lotting| through bereavement, Mrs A. A. Fairbairn was hostess. There were two competitions during the evening, one of which was won by Mrs Harty and .the other by Miss Madge yates, a one-act play—“ Minuet "—charmingly presented'by Misses Madge Yates, Kathleen Quaifc, and Billie Mitchell, and a playreading— ‘‘ The Voice of the People by Alan Mulgan, those taking part being Mesdames Harty, Stephens, and Fairbairn, and Misses P. Scoullar and B. Mitchell. The evening was a very enjoyable one. There were present: —Mesdames Fairbairn, Podgshun, Harty, Stephens, Barling, Neil, Labes, Lee, and Cookson, and Misses D. Blackmore. M.
