A REPLAYED MATCH / ENGLISH UNION’S RULING. (Pee. United Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, June 22. The action of the Taranaki Rugby Union in ruling tha,t a replay was necessary between the Star and'' Stratford senior Rugby teams after the referee had stopped the game at half time on account of the weather was confirmed by the English Rugby Union in a ruling received to-day. There ,was no score when the game was abandoned. The New Zealand Union upheld the Star’s application that the teams receive one point each. Xhe Taranaki Union had previously had the game replayed, Stratford winning the match ajad the North Taranaki Championship.
