TOUR BY VISITING TEAM AUSTRALIANS OR AMERICANS? (Pee United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 22. The Canterbury Athletic Centre tonight discussed a proposal forwarded from the New Zealand Athletic Association concerning; a' tour of New Zealand by visiting athletes next season. The association -wrote stating, that the cost of . an American tour was considered too great, and asked the centre to give its opinion on inviting a team of four Australians. . The delegates held that the visit of an' American team would be preferable, and decided to inform the New Zealand Council : that before <■ deciding on a tour by overseas athletes the centre would prefer to have full information on the comparative costs of inviting three Americans, or four Australians.
