INTERMEDIATE SCHOOLS
MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 22. . Certain amended regulations for intermediate schools and, departments and the revocation of orders for the management of the Matamata and Northcote Junior High Schools were gazetted to-night. A subclause is added to the regulations providing, that for the management of a public ■ school to which: an intermediate department has been attached there shall be a committee of nine—six elected annually by the parents and three 'elected annually by members of the school committees o„f the contributing schools.. The Minister may modify the constitution of the committee as he considers necessary. Provision is also made for the payment of an annual grant by the Minister for the cost of the material used in manual training and science work.
