THE WEATHER
Fine, sunny weather prevailed in DunV edin yesterday, following a cold night and nine degrees of frost. It was the heaviest frost experienced this winter. There was no wind, and the atmosphere was cold all day, the thermometer registering 42 degrees at mid-day. The barometer registered 30.25 in last night. REPORTS FROM NORTHERN CENTRES (Special ro Daily Times) ■ AUCKLAND, June 21. A moderate easterly wind and overcast, threatening weather prevailed to-day, continuous light rain being experienced until the evening, when the conditions improved. The barometer was steady at SO.OOin after mid-day. WELLINGTON, June 21. Dull and overcast conditions prevailed to-day, although there was a spell of pleasant sunshine during the afternoon. CHRISTCHURCH, June 21. After a hard frost succeeded by fog the day was cloudless and calm. The maximum temperature was 43 degrees. The barometer fell seven points to 30.22 in.
