PUKEORA SANATORIUM
; WAIPAWA BOARD TO TAKE CONTROL *. (Pee Unitel Press Association.) WAIPUKURAU, June 20. The Waipawa Hospital Board, following negotiations with the Department of Health, and with the concurrence of the Central Hawke’s Bay local bodies interested, has agreed , to assume control as from October of the Pukeora Sanatorium for males suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis. The agreement gives the hoard v the right to relinquish control at the end of two years or subsequently on three months’ notice. . Th« department is to make a grant to meet replacements, renovations, and repair* for a period of five years. It is proposed to reduce the bed establishment to 100. The change involves some retrenchment in the staff, of which matter the department is to be given thre* months’ notice.
